Promises Treatment Centers offer a personalized drug rehab experience, so while we outline our 'base' addiction treatment and drug rehabiliation programs, we do not present a 'one-size-fits-all' solution, because we are not a 'one-size-fits-all' treatment center. We offer a number of solutions, all of which can be tailored to fit specific needs and circumstances.
When an individual chooses Promises, our goal is to directly address the disease of alcoholism and/or drug addiction. Our approach involves professional addiction treatment such as cognitive-behavior therapy, family therapy, support groups, and other individual counseling services. It also includes other activities designed to strengthen the mind, body and spirit. Our experience has shown when traditional therapies are combined with specialized treatments, the result is an increase in individuals achieving and maintaining sobriety.
Residential Drug Rehab
Promises residential alcohol and drug rehab is similar to an inpatient drug treatment program. Clients are expected to make a minimum commitment of 30 days, where they live on site in one of our houses with others who are attempting to recover from substance abuse, chemical dependency, alcoholism or addiction.
We offer residential alcohol and drug treatment at two facilities either in Malibu, CA or (West) Los Angeles, CA. Our programs range from 30 to 90 days (or more), can include alcohol and/or drug detox and are personalized to fit the specific needs of each individual we treat to offer them what we feel is the best chance to succeed.
Unlike many 'cookie cutter' treatment centers, Promises will work with you to help you select the right programs and ancillary options for your specific personality and situation. We will also work to 'match' you with an appropriate 'core treatment team' which will work with you throughout your stay.

Outpatient Alcohol and Drug Treatment
Promises outpatient program for drug rehab, alcoholism or addiction treatment is designed for those who live in the area, or can arrange nearby accommodations. This program is for those who need treatment, but may not necessarily need a residential or inpatient treatment program. Our outpatient drug rehab, or 'intensive outpatient treatment program' allows clients to continue their day-to-day lives, while recovering from addiction.
The Promises outpatient program is generally four months, and, similar to our residential treatment, is personalized to the needs of each individual we work with. This program helps lay a foundation for recovery, teaches individuals how to integrate knowledge into daily life, and helps establish an aftercare plan, to help maintain long-term sobriety in daily life.

Extended Care Alcohol and Drug Treatment
Promises Extended Care Treatment is a transitional program available to those who have completed a residential program and need, or would like help transitioning back to everyday life. The extended care program is conducted at facilities separate from our residential treatment center, and is highly personalized to the specific needs of individuals in order to address and overcome obstacles associated with rejoining families, the work place, and other aspects of day-to-day life.
Much like the residential drug rehab and alcohol treatment programs offered by Promises, the extended care program offers ancilary treatment options, which can include family counseling, educational and career coaching, equine and/or art therapy, and many others, depending on the specific needs of the individual. In the extended care program, our staff will continue to work with you or a loved on to help select the options we feel offer the best chance for long term success in overcoming alcoholism or drug addiction.

Day Alcohol and Drug Treatment
Promises Day Treatment Program can be utilized by individuals in two different situations:
1.) Those needing more structure and intensity than an outpatient program can provide but who may not wish to enter a residential or inpatient drug or alcohol rehab program may be suited for Promises Day Treatment Program. In this type of situation, the Promises Day Treatment Program can be personalized to provide many of the benefits of a residential program, while clients return home at the end of the day sessions.
2.) Those needing more time to transition from residential or inpatient drug rehab, who are not quite ready for the transition directly to Promises Extended Care Program can receive benefits from continuing Day Treatment, which provides more structure and 'time with help' than either an extended care or outpatient program provide.
As with all programs offered by Promises, this program can be individualized to fit the specific needs of participants.
