The Malibu, CA residential treatment facility is situated on two family estates overlooking the ocean. Clients at the Promises Malibu residential treatment facility stay in one of three houses with two swimming pools, a tennis court, basketball hoops, and a pool table and enjoy gorgeous views of both the rolling hills and the Pacific Ocean. Malibu's Extended Care house, offers panoramic views of the ocean, Santa Monica, Palos Verdes and, on a clear day, Catalina Island. Each house holds 6 clients or less and most of our rooms are semi-private.
Promises (West) Los Angeles, CA residential alcohol and drug treatment facility is located in a neighborhood environment in Mar Vista, CA, just a few minutes from the beach. One house, referred to as the 'Big House', is a beautiful craftsman style home which was moved from Pasadena to Los Angeles roughly 10 years ago. Since Promises acquired this house 5 years ago, it has been a favorite among staff and clients alike. The two other homes are single story California bungalows. Each of the 3 houses hold up to 6 clients and each room are semi-private.
Although our residential treatment programs are only 30 days, Promises encourages longer stays in treatment, even if it is not with us, because many studies show when clients continue treatment past the initial 30 days, their chances of staying sober increase greatly. A 90 day drug treatment program supports our clients by providing stepping stones back into the 'real world' allowing those who have completed residential treatment to practice the skills they learned during their stay in day-to-day life while still providing a 'safe' living situation for them to return to.
Promises extended programs provide individual counseling sessions, a peer support group and random drug and alcohol testing. (Random testing not only helps to ensure a safe and chemical free house, but it also relieves the family and friends from the duty of 'policing' addictive behavior.) This is a crucial step in the road to healing for the entire family. Our Day Treatment and Outpatient Treatment are held in a spacious suite in an office building just 10 minutes drive from the Los Angeles residential treatment facility.
