Dr. Thomas Gazda, M.D.
Dr. Gazda studied at the University of Illinois where he earned both his Bachelor of Science in biology and his Doctor of Medicine. He completed both family practice and psychiatry residencies at the University of Vermont and received board certification in both specialties, as well as completing psychoanalysis and Tavistock training. Dr. Gazda has served as a principal investigator for research trials, an inpatient psychiatrist, a community mental health psychiatrist and a private practitioner. While serving as an inpatient psychiatrist at Banner Behavioral Health, he spent three years as Chief of Staff, during which time they were named “Best of Banner.” He has served as an inpatient psychiatrist to the Windhaven Center, Prescott area and as a volunteer to The Neighborhood Christian Clinic.
Named a “Top Doc” in 2007, he is also listed in “America’s Top Psychiatrists.” Dr. Gazda is a proponent of holistic, integrative care following a biopsychosocial model and is open to nutraceuticals and very interested in nutrition, exercise, meditation and spirituality as strong components of the recovery process. Prior to being named medical director, Dr. Gazda served as Chief Consultant Psychiatrist for Promises Scottsdale since 2013.
