Outpatient Drug Treatment Here at P.A.T.H., our Centers of Excellence pride themselves on meeting clients where ever they are in their journey towards sobriety and mental stability. With our walk-in diagnostic assessment, we can help you select the right level of care and always support you with professionalism and compassion. Every P.A.T.H. location provides an alternative to full-time, residential treatment. Instead, clients focus on recovery during day or evening treatment but sleep at home or a sober-living facility. In this way, we provide a flexible option for those facing substance addiction but still need to manage their daily lives. Why Walk The P.A.T.H.? There are many good reasons to choose our in-person or telehealth outpatient drug treatment for addiction and mental health recovery: Get Treatment Without Disrupting Your Daily Life Our P.A.T.H outpatient drug treatment programs are an excellent alternative for those who do not require a residential treatment structure. Our programs also provide flexibility for those unable to put work and home commitments aside. Whether it be in-person or via our virtual telehealth services, our outpatient program offers support that can effectively fit within your life. Create a Support System While You’re in Recovery The P.A.T.H treatment programs help you build a support network through peer-to-peer bonding and with our Rooted Alumni program after you complete your treatment plan. We also call on family and friends’ aid every day through our family program as you work toward building new sober living skills. Recovery for a Reduced Cost The P.A.T.H outpatient programs tend to cost less than inpatient programs and provide an affordable alternative. What Types of Outpatient Programs Are Available? There are two main outpatient rehab programs: day programs and intensive outpatient programs. Also, many people in outpatient treatment participate in a support group to reinforce progress made during treatment. Partial Hospitalization/Day Programs (PHP) PHPs offer the highest level of outpatient care and require the largest time commitment. Clients enrolled in this form of treatment travel to their treatment facility at least five days a week. They devote several hours to treatment or supportive therapy during each visit. Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) Intensive outpatient treatment has a lower time commitment than a PHP, requiring up to a few hours a day, a few days a week. Intensive outpatient programs work best for people who have a strong dedication to their treatment plan. This requires a strong support system and effective strategies to avoid relapse. Virtual Intensive Outpatient Programs (VIOP) Like intensive outpatient treatment, virtual intensive outpatient programs offer the same time commitment and program structure but allow clients to call in via a secure virtual video service. Alumni Programs & Mutual Self-Help Groups Our goal is to get you to a place where you feel secure in your sobriety. That’s why every client who works through our programs qualifies for the Rooted Alumni program after they complete their treatment plan. Self-help groups also allow people to learn from others who have experience with sober living. Some examples include Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. There are also 12-step alternatives such as SMART Recovery and Refuge Recovery. What Types of Treatments Are Used? Therapeutic counseling is the most common form of treatment for our P.A.T.H. clients. We also offer medication assistance for specific substance use disorders. At a glance, our programs consist of: Group: Group therapy allows you to share your experience with your peers and receive guidance from a trained therapist. This can help you build peer-to-peer support and learn how to better cope with your mental health and/or addiction. Individual: Individual therapy lets therapists tailor one-on-one counseling to your specific needs exploring issues relating to your daily life as well as your mental and emotional health as you progress through recovery. Family: Family therapy explores the many facets of your relationships and how they contribute to and have been affected by addiction or mental health disorders. Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD): This is a type of medically assisted treatment for those challenged with opioid use disorder. Medication can help fight destructive urges or detox symptoms. Is P.A.T.H Outpatient Treatment Right For Everyone? Unfortunately, P.A.T.H. treatment services are not for everyone. Some people need more time and attention away from distractions and triggers. Thus, a client may require inpatient treatment if they: Facing a Relapse: People recovering from drug or alcohol problems can relapse back into active substance abuse. If you are currently facing a relapse, you may benefit from a full-time residential program where daily structure, monitoring and support can maximize your treatment benefits. Are a Danger to Self or Others: Some people in the depths of their mental health and drug addiction struggle with behavioral challenges that increase the risk of harm to themselves or others. If you are at risk, monitored inpatient treatment is a better choice for recovery. Lack of a Safe Space at Home: For many people, dysfunctional living situations can trigger abuse substances. A lack of safe space and daily exposure to this sort of environment can severely decrease your ability to stay sober. For example, loved ones may not support you in your healing process. Also, relapse quickly occurs when you are surrounded by people who continue to use alcohol or drugs, so an inpatient program gives you the chance to get sober safely and in a supportive place. We will not leave you to find residential treatment services on your own. At P.A.T.H., we will work to find the right inpatient treatment center for you so you can find the hope and healing you need to recover. Upon discharge, we will work with you to get you the best plan at any of our P.A.T.H. locations as you continue to move through your recovery. Find Out More About Our P.A.T.H Program To learn more about the P.A.T.H outpatient programs and our Centers of Excellence, give us a call at 888.622.7809.
