Promises Treatment Centers Earns CARF Accreditation

Los Angeles (PRWEB) April 6, 2010 - The three-year CARF Accreditation demonstrates Promises Treatment Centers’ dedication and commitment to improving the quality of the lives of those they serve and shows an established pattern of practice excellence. Promises Treatment Centers has achieved a three-year accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), an independent, nonprofit accreditor of human service providers in such fields as behavior health care. CARF accreditation demonstrates Promises’ dedication to superior performance for their clients.

“Promises has extended its commitment to excellence in clinical care and individualized client care through the CARF accreditation process,” said Dr. David Sack, CEO of Promises. “We are pleased that our efforts to provide a unique therapeutic experience are being recognized by a three-year accreditation.”

CARF accreditation is a year-long process during which the facility and its staff must demonstrate excellence across all clinical and administrative services. The accreditation extends to residential treatment in Malibu and West Los Angeles as well as Intensive Outpatient Treatment in West Los Angeles.

“The entire team of staff and managers worked very hard throughout 2009 to ensure that the tremendous care clients receive at Promises was reflected in the processes that CARF measures. I am thrilled, but not surprised, at our team’s success in achieving accreditation,” says Dr. Shari Corbitt, Senior Executive Director of Promises Treatment Centers.

“All the hard work and long hours of teamwork led to our success. Our tradition of excellence continues and we are honored to have been awarded accreditation for the maximum time allowed by CARF,” said Jason Levine, Clinical Director at the West Los Angeles facility.

The CARF survey stated that Promises has a dedicated and devoted staff and management team that focuses on the needs of the people they serve by engaging in a collaborative process to meet their needs. The survey also commended Promises for its alumni program and extensive outreach support around the country, noting that clients find this service meaningful and instrumental to their recovery.

“We see CARF accreditation as part of a multiyear process to redefine the experience of clients seeking care for alcohol and drug dependencies and co-occurring disorders,” said Dr. Sack. “At Promises, we strive to seamlessly combine traditional approaches to addiction treatment with self-regulation treatments including neuro-feedback, meditation, yoga, and hypnosis.”

Promises has found in surveying clients when they leave treatment that more than 98 per cent say they would recommend Promises to a friend or family member.
