Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (VIOP)

At P.A.T.H., we want to provide comprehensive, evidence-based services no matter where you are located. To help ease access to care and remove the barriers that keep you from getting the help you need, we have created a virtual intensive outpatient program to fit your needs.

Whether you live in a rural area, urban area or in-between, we have made the recovery journey a little easier. The virtual intensive outpatient program works to relieve the stress of finding care when you may not be able to attend an in-person treatment program. Using a secure video-platform, we provide you with the tools to successfully manage your substance use or mental health disorders. All from the comfort of your own home. Treatment includes:

  • Care for substance use, mental health disorders or dual diagnosis
  • Identifying underlying traumas & resolution
  • Mending personal relationships
  • Learning and applying healthy coping skills
  • Developing relapse prevention plans
  • Coordinating with community physicians who prescribe psychotropic and addiction treatment medication
  • Building a strong support network
  • Building life skills and personal goals
  • Aftercare planning

What Should I Expect?

We will begin the VIOP process with a diagnostic needs assessment to decide if virtual services are right for you. You can do this with us either over the phone or by walking into any of our P.A.T.H. centers for a needs assessment.

From there, we can determine what the best course of action will be for your personalized treatment plan. We aim to remove barriers to getting the help you need, but this program still requires a time commitment.

Similar to the in-person intensive outpatient program, you are required to commit to a certain amount of hours per week – this may depend on your individualized treatment plan.

We offer schedules to help meet your time obligations. Every session will have a mandatory check-in form that must be completed before calling in. Then you will move on to your telehealth therapy sessions.

Get Help at Home

That’s the wonderful thing about our virtual intensive outpatient program. You can find hope and healing, all from the comfort of your own home. It gives you the freedom to care for yourself without worrying about your location or other physical barriers that may keep you from getting the support you need.

But what do you need for a program like this? There are a few essential things you will need on hand before you can begin a virtual intensive outpatient program. These include:

  • A computer with a web camera
  • Audio tools such as a microphone or cell phone
  • High-speed internet
  • Quiet and private space for sessions
  • Time and willingness to commit to change

With the virtual intensive outpatient program, you can focus on better understanding yourself and your addiction or mental health disorder while continuing to work, see family or complete your education. Nothing should stop you from being present in your own life, not even substance abuse or mental health.

No matter what the circumstances may be, at P.A.T.H, we help remove the barriers to treatment and work to provide you with the tools to heal, all from the comfort of your living room.
